IMU CET Eligibility Criteria For UG Courses 2017
IMU CET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Following are the eligibility criteria:
1. 1Year IMU-DNS course-
A) 60% (PCM) and 50% (English) in 12th class
B) B.Sc (Any of these Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Electronics)
passed candidates with 55 % marks.
C) B.tech candidates with 50 % in English.
Note: Candidates applying for DNS, needs to have SPONSORSHIP from an approved shipping company before the admission.
2) B.Sc Nautical Science- 3 years
60% (PCM) and 50% (English) in 12th Class. For B.Sc in Ship Building and Repair only 50% in PCM.
3) B Tech Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture -
60%(PCM) and 50% (English) in 12th Class. 2nd Year lateral entry candidates should have pursued Marine or Mechanical or Naval Architecture or Electrical in diploma.
Candidates joining DNS, B.Sc. (Nautical Science) & B.Sc. (Maritime Science) degree course are not allowed to wear glasses and their vision should be 6/6 (normal) in each eye separately. In case of candidates joining B. Tech. (Marine Engineering) degree course, glasses may be allowed but eye sight in each eye beyond plus/minus 2.5 will be rejected. Unaided vision should be 6/12 in both eyes minimum or 6/9 in the good eye and 6/12 in the other eye minimum. Defective colour vision tested by ISHIARA test chart is disqualification for B.Sc. (Nautical Science), B.Sc. (Maritime Science) & B. Tech. (Marine Engineering). In case of candidates joining training their eyesight standard should conform to the NEW ENTRY STANDARD as per Mercantile Marine Department of Government of India.

Candidates want to get admission for any of these courses, have to appear and qualify IMU CET 2015 Exam.
For coming AUGUST Batch CET will be held in June,2017.
The Common Entrance Examination shall have 200 objective type multiple choice questions each carrying one mark distributed in six subjects which are to be attempted in 3 hours duration.
